The City of Miami’s Building Department has officially issued a master construction permit for the highly anticipated Okan Tower, allowing the developer to proceed with all interior and mechanical systems—including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, elevators, and life safety components.
“With this permit in hand, we now have the green light to complete every element of the building,” said Bekir Okan, Chairman of developer Okan Group.
Construction is progressing steadily, with crews currently working on the 30th floor, which marks the hotel mezzanine level. The Hilton Miami Bayfront Hotel—spanning floors 14 through 30—is now structurally complete and being built out to five-star standards.
The tower is rising at a pace of approximately one floor per week and is expected to reach the halfway mark in the coming weeks. Topping off is projected for 2026, with an official opening planned for 2027.
Upon completion, Okan Tower will soar 70 stories, making it one of the tallest buildings in Miami’s skyline.
