The 41-story 2600 Biscayne tower in Edgewater is quickly approaching its structural peak. Coastal Construction, the project’s contractor, reported last week that the building’s concrete shell had surpassed the 35th floor, with topping off expected in early September.
Glass installation is following closely as the structure rises toward its final height of 521 feet above ground, or 529 feet above sea level.
Spanning an entire city block, the development will offer 900,000 square feet of mixed-use space, including 399 luxury residences, 187,000 square feet of office and retail space, and more than 600 parking spaces. A 30,700-square-foot Equinox fitness club is also planned for the building.
Over half of the office and retail space was pre-leased prior to the April 2024 groundbreaking. Oak Row Equities is developing the project.
