A new stretch of The Underline, Miami’s 10-mile linear park beneath the Metrorail, has officially opened to the public, according to the Miami Herald.
The addition extends the park from Brickell to Coconut Grove, with the latest segment spanning nearly two miles between the Vizcaya and Coconut Grove Metrorail stations.
This marks the first portion of Phase 3, the longest planned section of the project. Once complete, Phase 3 will run 7.36 miles from Vizcaya all the way to the Dadeland South Metrorail station.
Construction continues on the remaining segments of the $140 million project, with full completion expected in the near future.
