The Federal Aviation Administration has approved the planned heights for Banco Santander’s new tower on Brickell Avenue, with the determination issued this morning.
According to the FAA letter, the tallest point of the 41-story Santander Tower will be a lightning rod reaching 784 feet above ground, or 795 feet above sea level. The bulkhead railing is approved at 761 feet, while earlier filings listed the building’s crown at 759 feet.
Once built, Santander Tower will rank among the tallest office buildings in Miami. The Southeast Financial Center currently holds the title of the city’s tallest all-office building at 764 feet. On Brickell Avenue, the tallest existing tower is the 70-story Four Seasons at 789 feet, though it is expected to be surpassed soon by another project under construction.
