Miami’s Building Department has granted a site work permit for Villa Miami in Edgewater, a collaborative project between Major Food Group, Terra, and One Thousand Group. This permit authorizes excavation, piling, site enhancement, and soil improvement. Moss & Associates is the designated contractor for this phase.
The 56-story, 650-foot tower is set to commence construction soon and will feature 72 residences, each offering expansive 360-degree water views. Designed by ODP Architecture & Design under Kurt Dannwolf’s guidance, the building will have a striking copper-colored exoskeleton, with structural engineering provided by Desimone Consulting Engineers. It is poised to become a prominent addition to Miami’s skyline and Biscayne Bay.
In parallel, an application for a master construction permit is underway. This permit outlines a 358,944-square-foot development, with 7,723 square feet designated for a restaurant and 351,221 square feet for residential use, estimated at $62,817,300. Additionally, a seawall permit is under review, with Ebsary Foundation Company as the contractor and work valued at $480,000.
The development will offer residents an array of amenities, including Major Domo estate manager services, a rooftop helipad, poolside service, spa and wellness facilities, and a branded beach club. Other features will include an elevated pool deck, an on-site restaurant by Major Food Group, exclusive lounge areas, and at-home chef services.
Interior design for Villa Miami will be led by Vicky Charles of Charles & Co.
