The planned 36-story condominium tower in Edgewater featuring a diagrid envelope design is moving forward with a newly completed utilities agreement. The deal was finalized on August 13, according to public records.
Listed in documents simply as “Edgewater Condominium,” the project is set to include:
- 229 residential units
- 7,600 square feet of ground-floor retail space
- 397 garage parking spaces (shown in a UDRB filing, though not part of the utilities agreement)
Demolition is already underway, with multiple permits issued in July to clear existing structures on the site, including buildings more than a century old.
The Urban Development Review Board unanimously recommended approval of the project last December, with one condition: that the design team explore adding motion-sensor lighting and light baffles in the garage to minimize light spill into the surrounding public realm.
Arquitectonica is serving as the architect. Developers Black Salmon and TSG are named in the utilities agreement.
