The proposed height for Metro Edgewater’s second tower has been submitted to the FAA for approval.
Metro Edgewater’s first 32-story tower was completed in 2023, while plans for the second tower, Metro Edgewater 2, were first unveiled during a 2024 Urban Development Review Board hearing.
The new tower is designed to rise 28 stories, reaching 333 feet above ground (341 feet above sea level) pending FAA approval.
In December, an application for a master construction permit was filed with Miami’s Building Department. According to the permit, Metro Edgewater 2 will feature 104 multi-family rental units, 58 lodging units, and 150,187 square feet of office, banking, and financial space.
The earlier UDRB filing also detailed plans for 220 parking spaces within the tower.
