Weekend Foundation Pour Completed for Downtown Miami’s 58-Story Downtown 6 Tower
This past weekend, the foundation pour took place for the 58-story Downtown 6 tower in Downtown Miami.
According to a social media update from L&R Structural Corp., the project’s shell contractor, approximately 2,400 cubic yards of concrete were scheduled to be poured starting at 11 PM on Friday night.
Developed by Melo Group, Downtown 6 follows the success of its neighboring Downtown 5 towers, a pair of 52-story buildings completed in 2021 with 1,042 apartments. Construction on Downtown 6 began around August.
The area is currently experiencing a surge in construction activity, with the 70-story Okan Tower rising next door and multiple high-rises underway at Miami Worldcenter just across the street.
Once completed, Downtown 6 will stand 574 feet above ground (587 feet above sea level) and will feature:
- 824 apartments
- 2,247 square feet of retail space
- 639 parking spaces in a concealed garage
