Demolition Permit Submitted for Mandarin Oriental Site on Brickell Key
A total demolition permit has been filed for the Brickell Key site designated for The Residences at The Mandarin Oriental, Miami.
The permit, submitted on January 10, is yet to undergo review. The application details the demolition of 527,824 square feet at an estimated cost of $1,072,500, with BG Group listed as the demolition contractor.
The current Mandarin Oriental hotel on the site is set to close on May 31, paving the way for two new towers. The planned towers will include one rising 66 stories (850 feet) and another reaching 426 feet.
Kohn Pedersen Fox is the architect for the project, and a master construction permit for the new towers is currently under review.
