The 1,049-foot Waldorf Astoria Miami has begun vertical construction, as shown in new photos.
The Waldorf will be Miami's first supertall tower and the tallest residential building south of New York.
It will feature 387 condos and 205 guestrooms and suites, with the residential component already 90 percent sold.
A record-breaking foundation pour was recently completed, alongside the issuance of a record-breaking construction loan this month.
The foundation pour began on June 14 and was planned to last 36 hours, with 1,400 trucks delivering over 13,500 cubic yards of concrete to the site.
Developers PMG, Greybrook, Mohari Hospitality, S2 Development, and Hilton secured $668 million in construction financing earlier this month, marking the largest construction loan for a residential condominium development in Florida’s history.
Completion is planned for Q2 2028, according to the developers.
