Miami’s City Commission is set to hold a second reading this week on the proposed Braman Miami Campus Special Area Plan (SAP).
Commissioners unanimously approved the plan during its first reading in June.
According to the resolution, the Braman SAP aims to transform the current automotive-focused site into a master-planned, pedestrian-friendly campus. The vision includes mixed-use buildings and residential towers designed to enhance and support the Edgewater neighborhood.
Phases 1A and 1B of the project include construction of a new 11-story automotive-related building and a woonerf—a shared street prioritizing pedestrians and cyclists.
Future phases of the expansion propose two 60-story residential towers. One tower would include 624 units, while the second would offer 550 units, according to a zoning chart.
The City Commission meeting is scheduled for July 24.
