Construction permitting is moving forward for a new apartment tower at the former Miami Arena site in Downtown Miami.
According to records from the Miami Building Department, the master construction permit for the tower advanced to its sixth review cycle on Friday. At the same time, the phased vertical construction permit entered its fourth review cycle.
The site is planned to host a total of three towers, to be developed in phases. The first tower will rise 52 stories (624 feet) and include 894 residential units.
Once complete, the full development will consist of 2,350 residential units and 1,924 parking spaces across the three towers.
The project is being developed by the Witkoff Group, with architecture by Kobi Karp.
