Hyatt’s lifestyle portfolio makes a striking Florida debut with the newly opened Andaz Miami Beach. Transforming the historic Confidante property, this Mediterranean-inspired waterfront resort brings upscale energy and refined coastal living to the serene, curated stretch of Mid-Beach.
Nestled between the lively South Beach and tranquil residential north, the 287-room resort features 64 suites, private beach access, two oceanfront pools, and three new dining concepts from the acclaimed José Andrés Group. As the first Andaz to open under Hyatt’s dedicated Lifestyle Group, the property perfectly blends relaxed luxury with immersive design, drawing on the site’s 1930s heritage and Miami’s iconic Art Deco palette.
Designed by EoA Group in collaboration with Hyatt’s in-house team, the interiors showcase soft turquoise and mint hues, with flowing curves that mimic the sea’s movement. The elevated open-air lobby offers immediate ocean views, and true to Andaz’s signature style, check-in is replaced by a seated cocktail welcome accompanied by a Balearic-Cuban soundtrack.
Guestrooms boast airy terraces and sea-inspired décor, while spacious suites include soaking tubs, flexible connecting rooms, and cozy dining nooks ideal for extended stays or group getaways. Ten cabanas line the dual pools, and a private beachfront stretch is reserved exclusively for guests. Later this summer, the resort’s original beach house will reopen as an exclusive members-only club.
The culinary program, led by José Andrés, features three distinct dining venues:
-
Aguasal: A breezy coastal eatery inspired by Mallorca and Mykonos, serving Mediterranean cuisine by day and evolving into a chic nighttime retreat.
-
Bar Centro: A casual all-day spot offering tapas, sandwiches, and cocktails—perfect for beachside mornings through late-night gatherings.
-
The Bazaar: José Andrés’s iconic concept returns to Miami in 2026 with a fresh spin on his globally renowned culinary techniques.
Adding to the wellness offerings is Ondara Spa, a fourth-floor ocean-view retreat set to open in June. Embracing a “detox to retox” philosophy, Ondara will provide pre-party prep and recovery treatments featuring touchless therapies and skincare products powered by Obagi.
For events, Andaz Miami Beach offers 25,000 square feet of versatile space, including oceanfront ballrooms and a standout feature: a pool with a hydraulic floor that rises to create a solid surface—perfect for concerts, runway shows, and grand celebrations.
With bookings now open, Andaz Miami Beach heralds a new chapter for Mid-Beach and stands out as one of Miami’s most exciting new hospitality debuts.
