Villa Miami Marks Major Milestone with Concrete Pour Completion on Edgewater Waterfront Tower
Villa Miami reached a significant construction milestone on May 9 by completing its concrete foundation pour for one of Miami’s most anticipated residential towers. Led by Moss Construction, the 14-hour continuous pour involved over 3,400 cubic yards of concrete and 2,095 tons of steel, forming the robust base for the 650-foot waterfront landmark rising in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood. The project remains on schedule for delivery in 2027, with the concrete pour finishing four weeks ahead of plan.
“The strength of today’s luxury market is defined by discernment as buyers seek more than just a home,” said David Martin, CEO of Terra. “The rapid progress at Villa Miami speaks to the demand for a truly exceptional product and highlights the robust fundamentals of Miami’s real estate market. This milestone marks the beginning of a tower that will transform the Edgewater skyline and redefine luxury living in Miami.”
The striking copper-clad, 56-story tower will feature an exclusive collection of just 70 half- and full-floor residences, offering a lifestyle defined by world-class service, design, and culinary excellence. Villa Miami is the first-ever residential tower branded by the globally renowned Major Food Group and represents the inaugural collaboration between Miami legacy developer David Martin’s Terra and One Thousand Group.
“This concrete pour signals the moment Villa Miami shifts from vision to vertical reality,” said Kevin Venger, Co-Founder of One Thousand Group. “We’re building a legacy with a team that pushes design boundaries and delivers the highest standards from the ground up.”
The pour required 43 concrete trucks working in a coordinated rotation throughout the day. Moss Construction leads structural work, while ODP Architects, under Kurt Dannwolf, directs the architectural design. The tower’s signature copper-colored exoskeleton—an architectural hallmark conceived by ODP and engineered by DeSimone, a global structural design firm—makes Villa Miami a standout on the skyline.
Located at 710 NE 29th Street, Villa Miami broke ground in December 2024 and secured a $285 million construction loan from TYKO Capital, a commercial real estate private equity and credit platform backed by Elliott Investment Management and led by Adi Chugh.
Despite ongoing construction, the project has already attracted significant buyer interest. Residences start at $5.5 million and range from 3,000 to over 6,000 square feet. These full- and half-floor homes appeal to discerning buyers seeking estate-style living in the sky, complemented by 24/7 service and programming.
Interiors are curated by Vicky Charles of Charles & Co., with landscaping by Enzo Enea. The tower’s private amenity suite, the Copper Club, spans multiple floors and is exclusively curated by Major Food Group to offer a high-touch, members-only experience.
The development team behind Villa Miami has a strong track record with some of Miami’s most iconic residential towers. Terra, led by David Martin, recently delivered Five Park Miami Beach and Mr. C Residences Coconut Grove. One Thousand Group’s portfolio includes the Zaha Hadid-designed One Thousand Museum tower, and the firm recently acquired a nearby Edgewater site for a Kohn Pedersen Fox-designed project.
