Wynwood Board Backs LIVWRK’s Three-Tower Proposal With Nearly 1,400 Units
Miami’s Wynwood Design Review Committee voted 4-1 on June 3 to recommend approval for a major new residential development consisting of three high-rise towers. The proposal, submitted by Brooklyn-based developer LIVWRK, calls for the project to move forward under Florida’s Live Local Act, which permits increased development density in exchange for providing workforce housing.
As part of its recommendation, the board included a condition that more local art be integrated at the street level to further enhance Wynwood’s signature streetscape.
Dubbed LIVWRK Wynwood, the project envisions three 45-story towers rising 487 feet and includes:
· 1,363 residential units, with 547 units (40%) designated for workforce housing
· 23,152 square feet of retail space
· 950 parking spaces, housed in an 8-level podium lined with residential units
In total, the development would span approximately 1.8 million square feet.
The project’s design team includes MKDA as the architect of record, with LIVWRK’s Brian Vargo serving as design architect.
