A Burger King situated in a strip mall across from Brickell City Centre has recently undergone renovation. The property, located in a prime area, has previously been considered for redevelopment.
In 2017, Miami’s Planning & Zoning Department approved plans for an ambitious 78-story tower on the site, designed by architect Nichols. The proposed development, known as "18," included 392 residential units and four levels of retail space at its base.
The FAA approved the tower's height in 2016, 2019, and 2023, with each approval expiring after several years. The authorized height is 954 feet above ground, or 950 feet above sea level.
