Permit Application Submitted for Midtown Miami’s Tallest Tower
A construction permit application has been submitted to the City of Miami’s Building Department for Jean-Georges Miami Tropic Residences, which is set to become Midtown Miami’s tallest tower.
The application was filed on May 2 and is currently awaiting processing. Moss & Associates is listed as the general contractor.
As detailed in a previous filing with Miami’s Urban Development Review Board, the tower is planned to rise 48 stories—reaching a height of 606 feet above ground.
The mixed-use project will feature:
- 329 condominium residences
- Over 41,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities
- 27,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space
The Urban Development Review Board recommended approval of the project in May 2024, subject to the following conditions:
- Use transparent glazing at the northeast corner of the ground floor to enhance and visually extend retail space
- Replace palm trees with shade trees wherever possible
Arquitectonica is serving as the lead architect, with interior design by Yabu Pushelberg. Renowned chef Jean-Georges collaborated on the design of the residential kitchen spaces.
The project is being developed by Terra and Lion Development Group.
