BD Hotels and Partners Break Ground on The Nora Hotel in West Palm Beach’s $1 Billion Nora District
BD Hotels, in partnership with NDT Development, Place Projects, and Wheelock Street Capital, has officially begun construction on The Nora Hotel, a boutique hospitality destination set to redefine West Palm Beach's cultural and social scene.
A New Era of Sophistication
The Nora Hotel marks BD Hotels' Florida debut, showcasing their signature high-design expertise. Located within the $1 billion Nora District, the hotel is poised to serve as a centerpiece for the neighborhood, blending timeless style, local history, and the welcoming spirit of Florida hospitality.

Inspired Design and Luxury Experiences
The Nora Hotel’s architecture, designed by Stantec with interiors by Gachot Studios, draws from Addison Mizner's Mediterranean and Spanish Colonial Revival influences. The design features arched passageways, intricate tilework, and rich materials, complemented by a serene loggia and garden.
The hotel will also host the iconic Pastis, a Parisian-inspired brasserie by James Beard Award-winning restaurateur Stephen Starr. Dining options will include:
- A 13,000-square-foot ground-floor space featuring Pastis and other STARR Restaurants concepts.
- A rooftop restaurant and bar.
- In-room dining services.
The Vision for the Nora District
Developed with the City of West Palm Beach and designed by PlusUrbia, the Nora District aims to redefine downtown with a mix of retail, office, dining, and public art. Phase I will include 150,000 square feet of space, featuring restored railway warehouses and a curated blend of local and national tenants.
