CityPlace in West Palm Beach Welcomes New Tenants and Announces Exciting Developments
CityPlace in West Palm Beach is undergoing a transformative evolution under Related Ross, positioning itself as a premier hub for luxury living, health care, and business innovation. These updates, shared at the Urban Land Institute's Development & Investment Forum, aim to solidify the area’s appeal to both residents and investors.
New Tenants at CityPlace
Among the highly anticipated additions is Equinox, the luxury fitness club renowned for its elite facilities and loyal clientele. Scheduled to open in late 2025, the 35,000-square-foot gym will occupy space in The Laurel, CityPlace's new luxury apartment building. This will be Equinox’s first location in Palm Beach County.
Accompanying Equinox at The Laurel are three other notable brands:
- Alo, the popular yoga apparel and accessories retailer.
- Crate & Barrel, a go-to destination for stylish home furnishings.
- Moxie’s, a chic Canadian restaurant chain making its South Florida debut.
Health Care Advancements
In a major announcement, plans for a $600 million state-of-the-art hospital were revealed. While the hospital's name has not been disclosed, speculation points to Cleveland Clinic, known globally for its medical expertise and innovation.
Business & Academic Growth
Related Ross also plans to bring a major Silicon Valley company with a $200 billion valuation and 25,000 employees to the area. To complement this, Vanderbilt University is partnering to open a downtown graduate business school specializing in finance, artificial intelligence, and data science.
Mixed-Use Development
Since its opening in 2000, CityPlace has faced challenges retaining tenants, particularly due to seasonal business fluctuations. However, Related Ross has reimagined the space by reducing retail density and emphasizing mixed-use development, including office space.
Plans for two new office towers, 15 CityPlace and 10 CityPlace, are underway:
- 15 CityPlace: Construction begins in March 2025, with 60% to 70% of the space already pre-leased.
- 10 CityPlace: Construction is scheduled to start one year later.
A Promising Future
With these exciting developments, CityPlace is poised to thrive as a dynamic, mixed-use district, attracting luxury brands, innovative businesses, and cutting-edge health care providers while redefining West Palm Beach’s urban landscape.
