Miami-based real estate firm Ytech celebrated the official groundbreaking on November 13, 2024, marking the start of construction for The Residences at 1428 Brickell, a 70-story high-rise that will redefine Miami’s skyline. This groundbreaking project features 195 luxury residences, blending high-end living with cutting-edge sustainability. The tower will be the first of its kind to incorporate photovoltaic glazing into its western façade, harnessing solar power to minimize environmental impact while maintaining a standard of exceptional design and innovation.

The tower’s “Solar Backbone” features 500 solar-integrated windows on the west-facing façade, collectively generating up to 175,000 kWh of clean energy annually. Because the solar cells are seamlessly integrated into the glass, their lifespan matches that of the windows, ensuring long-term sustainability while enhancing the architectural beauty of the tower.
