AVA MediterrAegean has officially taken center stage in Coconut Grove, unveiling Riviera Dining Group’s newest flagship and one of Miami’s most highly anticipated openings of the year. After cultivating a loyal following in Winter Park, the brand now brings its modern Greek agora philosophy to one of Miami’s most storied neighborhoods—elevated with an entirely reimagined design, a powerhouse culinary team, and an exclusive on-site members club, AVA MM.
Spearheaded by RDG Founder Gregory Galy, the Coconut Grove flagship represents a significant evolution for the group as it continues to expand its Mediterranean-focused portfolio, which includes MILA Miami, CASA NEOS, and CLAUDIE.
AVA Coconut Grove is conceived as a full sensory journey: a sculptural, island-inspired dining room crafted by Lázaro Rosa-Violán; an airy open-air terrace draped in linens and Mediterranean greenery; and a dramatic marble-wrapped bar that infuses the space with warmth and energy.
Culinary direction is led by Partner & Head of Culinary Michaël Michaelidis alongside Executive Chef Frédéric Aumeunier—whose combined experience spans some of the world’s most acclaimed kitchens, including Per Se, Pineapple & Pearls, La Maison Pic, and collaborations with Alain Ducasse.
The menu interprets Cycladic tradition through a refined, Riviera-influenced lens, featuring standout dishes such as Aegean Tuna Ceviche, Mediterranean Seabass Carpaccio, whole Branzino Spetziota, and a tableside-carved Lamb Moussaka. A selection of mezze, crudos, seasonal vegetables, premium seafood, and soulful large-format plates cultivates a dining atmosphere centered on sharing and modern Mediterranean conviviality.
Hidden within the restaurant, AVA MM expands RDG’s members-only ecosystem with a Japanese-driven menu, private cellar offerings, cigar and wine lockers, and an ongoing calendar of chef-led dinners, tastings, and cultural activations. Conceived as a discreet, bronze-accented sanctuary integrated into the surrounding landscape, the club offers a retreat designed for ritual, connection, and elevated living.
With its new home in Coconut Grove, AVA MediterrAegean enters a new chapter—emerging as a defining presence in Miami’s evolving dining landscape, where design, culture, and culinary artistry converge in a setting that feels transportive, warm, and distinctly Mediterranean.
