Hollywood is experiencing a wave of transformative development, with several ambitious projects redefining its future as a vibrant coastal destination. From ultra-luxurious private clubs to innovative residential towers, these developments are establishing new standards for living, recreation, and leisure.
The Shell Bay Club
Developed by renowned real estate firms Witkoff and PPG, Shell Bay in Hallandale Beach is an exclusive private club and residential community. It features 108 custom residences and a forthcoming 60-key resort in partnership with the award-winning Auberge Resorts Collection. Central to the community is The Shell Bay Club, home to a 7,250-yard championship golf course designed by Greg Norman. Opened in October 2023, this club boasts one of the highest initiation fees in the U.S., set at $1.35 million, making it one of the most prestigious new private clubs in Miami and North America. The golf course includes a 12-acre practice facility, featuring a 9-hole Par 3 course. Year-round amenities encompass the newly launched Racquet Club, offering programs led by tennis legends the Bryan brothers, with European clay, pickleball, and padel courts. Soon, residents will have access to an 18,000-square-foot Spa and Wellness Center, while the upcoming Clubhouse will include a 7,500-square-foot fitness center, luxury locker rooms, dining options, a cocktail lounge, and a lobby bar. Additionally, the Shell Bay Yacht Club will feature 48 slips, private charters, and leisure excursions, enhancing this exclusive lifestyle.
The Diplomat Beach Resort
The Diplomat Beach Resort is set to be rebranded as the Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort, undergoing a transformation aimed at offering "approachable luxury." The hotel’s public areas will feature a lush, sophisticated design that pays homage to the destination's history. The lobby will showcase a multi-story conservatory filled with exotic plants, a central bar, and Mediterranean-inspired small plates. The revamped pool deck will include an adults-only infinity pool, cabanas, and outdoor bar areas. Club Signia, located on the 33rd floor, will offer a spacious terrace with ocean views. Dining venues, including Playa, will be updated, and over 200,000 square feet of meeting space will be renovated to accommodate premium global travelers, complete with an oceanfront event terrace. This rebranding is part of a broader expansion of the Signia by Hilton brand, which also includes new hotels in Atlanta, Indianapolis (opening in 2026), Orlando, and San Jose. The Diplomat’s rebranding follows its $835 million acquisition by UBS Asset Management and Trinity Real Estate Investments.
