Florida East Coast Realty, a prominent player in the real estate sector, has taken a significant stride toward the realization of One Bayfront Plaza, Miami's much-anticipated and record-breaking skyscraper. The company has initiated the process of dismantling a 19-story building situated at 100 South Biscayne Boulevard in Downtown Miami, paving the way for the ambitious 92-story tower. The renowned architectural firm is leading the design, with ODP Architecture & Design serving as the architect of record.

 
The demolition application, submitted on November 15, targets the removal of 535,000 square feet of the existing structure at an estimated cost of $2.4 million.
 
Records from the county indicate that the interior demolition of the current 19-story building, dating back to 1958, commenced earlier in the year. B2 Group is managing this phase, involving the stripping of approximately 278,000 square feet of the interior at a cost of $400,000.

 
One Bayfront Plaza, envisioned as a "global landmark," is set to redefine Miami's skyline and become the city's tallest building. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has granted approval for a height of 1,049 feet above sea level for this skyscraper. Although initial renderings were unveiled in 2022, the final design remains subject to potential modifications.
 
This expansive mixed-use development will encompass Class AAA office spaces, a luxury convention hotel, high-end residences, a premium retail mall, and a parking garage, spanning over 3 million square feet. Florida East Coast Realty's commitment to reshaping Miami's architectural landscape is evident in this project, following the completion of the Panorama Tower, currently the city's tallest building, in 2018. Notably, the developer recently made headlines by selling a property at 1201 Brickell Bay Drive to Citadel for $363 million, emphasizing their influential role in Miami's real estate sector.
