A construction permit application for the 56-story Edition Residences in Edgewater has recently been submitted. The comprehensive vertical construction permit application was filed on December 5. An earlier permit application for the same project had been submitted in May but had expired.
According to the new filing, the development plans include 187 residential units, a 13-level parking garage, and 3,500 square feet of office space. The total new construction is listed at 1,206,774 square feet, with an estimated hard construction cost of $215,750,000. Coastal Construction is identified as the contractor overseeing the project.
Designed by Arquitectonica, the 649-foot glass tower is set to redefine the Edgewater skyline. Additionally, separate applications are currently in progress for a total demolition permit for an existing condo building on the site, as well as a seawall permit.
