South Miami commissioners voted on Tuesday to proceed with the redevelopment of the City Hall property. The $309 million project will be transit-oriented, located just a short distance from a Metrorail station.
The development will take place in two phases and will include:
- 70,000 square feet of civic space, housed in a six-story building for City Hall, the Police Department, and a library
- 670 high-end apartments in two 15-story towers
- 28,000 square feet of retail space, including food, beverage outlets, and a fitness center
- 910 parking spaces
13th Floor is the project's developer.
