Plans have been submitted for a 32-story tower in Edgewater. The proposed development will feature:
- 68 lodging units
- 57 off-street parking spaces
- Recreation and amenities on the 7th, 8th, 9th, and 32nd floors
The residential units on floors 10 to 26 will consist of one-bedroom apartments, ranging from 720 to 750 square feet. Larger units will be located on floors 27 through 31. The tower's height is planned to reach 385 feet above ground level, with Behar Font serving as the architect.
While Planning and Zoning officials have approved several waivers required for the project, the Onyx on the Bay Condominium Association is currently appealing the decision. A hearing before Miami’s Planning, Zoning, and Appeals Board is set for September 18.
