Plans for a new residential tower have been filed with Miami’s Urban Development Review Board.
Designed with a distinctive flatiron corner that creates an iconic silhouette, the project’s form is further defined by “curving vertical bands that rhythmically rib the structure, giving the impression of an exoskeletal support system,” wrote architectural designer Bryan Alfonso of Corwil Architects in a letter to the board.
The development is being proposed under Florida’s Live Local Act, which permits greater density in exchange for providing workforce housing.
The 30-story tower is planned to include:
- 499 residential units
- 14,696 square feet of ground-floor commercial space
- 498 parking spaces on levels 2–8, with the garage fully lined by residential units
- 210 workforce housing units, including all 147 garage liner apartments
The project is identified as Anatomia in the UDRB filing, while the developer’s website refers to it as Revv River District. The Calta Group is listed as the developer.
The proposal is scheduled for review at the September 17 UDRB hearing.
