Papi Steak Miami Beach to Debut Bold Tropical-Luxe Redesign This Fall
One of Miami Beach’s most iconic steakhouses is getting a glamorous new look. Papi Steak, the high-energy South of Fifth hotspot from David Grutman’s Groot Hospitality and partner David “Papi” Einhorn, will temporarily close on September 2 for a complete transformation, reopening in November with newly imagined interiors by Rockwell Group.
The redesign elevates the restaurant’s signature red-and-turquoise aesthetic into what the team describes as “glamorous tropical luxe.” Guests will enter through a dramatic red-draped façade and velvet-lined corridor accented with gold, opening into a dining room centered around a crystal chandelier, plush red banquettes, and shimmering floral wallcoverings by Candice Kaye.
Adding to the experience, a new private dining space introduces layered textures and drama with brass mirrors, rich drapery, and a golden tropical ceiling designed to evoke the feel of a hidden Miami theater.
Since its debut in 2019, Papi Steak has built a reputation for attracting celebrity clientele and delivering a celebratory, high-energy twist on the classic American steakhouse.
