UKIYO Miami Beach: A New Japanese Dining Experience Is Coming to Lincoln Road

Miami Beach’s dining scene is getting a fresh Japanese addition this fall with the highly anticipated opening of UKIYO Miami Beach, a new restaurant from NOAH Hospitality Group. Set to open in October 2026 at 818 Lincoln Road, UKIYO is bringing a sophisticated and theatrical take on Japan’s traditional kaiten, or conveyor-belt sushi, concept to one of Miami Beach’s most recognizable destinations.

A New Take on Conveyor-Belt Sushi

UKIYO is designed to be much more than a traditional sushi restaurant. At the center of the 7,431-square-foot indoor-outdoor space will be a custom-designed conveyor belt circulating freshly prepared nigiri, sashimi, and specialty rolls throughout the dining room.

The restaurant takes its name from the Japanese concept of ukiyo, meaning “the floating world.” That theme is incorporated into the design through flowing water, warm Japanese-inspired lighting, handcrafted details, and an immersive dining environment.

Adding to the experience, UKIYO will feature live culinary presentations, allowing guests to watch dishes move directly from the sushi counter onto the kaiten belt.

Japanese Cuisine With a Miami Twist

Executive Chef Nono Shigetomi will lead the culinary program, with seafood sourced from Japan, including Tokyo’s renowned Toyosu and Tsukiji markets, alongside seasonal South Florida ingredients.

One of the restaurant’s signature dishes is expected to be the Ukiyo Roll, combining tuna, salmon, hiramasa, and Hokkaido scallop with soy-glazed wagyu and an umami crunch.

The menu will also extend well beyond sushi. Guests can expect robata skewers, paitan ramen, yakisoba, seafood fried rice, tableside kamameshi, and a rotating House Dumpling Cart featuring handmade dumplings prepared in several styles.

An Immersive Lincoln Road Destination

The restaurant’s interior, designed by Casa Medina Design Studio, will combine materials including Rosso Lepanto stone, emerald-toned marble, handcrafted millwork, aged brass, and Japanese-inspired lantern lighting.

Outside, an additional dining environment will incorporate landscaping, lighting, and water features, creating a more intimate setting for guests.

The result is expected to be a restaurant that blends Japanese craftsmanship with the energetic, social atmosphere that makes Miami Beach dining so popular.

UKIYO Miami Beach Hours

UKIYO is expected to open in mid-October 2026. Dinner service is planned for 6 p.m. to midnight Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday, while Friday and Saturday service is scheduled to continue until 2 a.m. The restaurant will be closed Mondays.

What UKIYO Means for Miami Beach

The arrival of UKIYO adds another exciting destination to the evolving Lincoln Road dining scene. For residents, prospective homebuyers, and visitors, new restaurants and entertainment concepts continue to enhance the lifestyle appeal of living near South Beach and Lincoln Road.

For those considering Miami Beach real estate, proximity to world-class dining, shopping, nightlife, and walkable destinations remains one of the area's major attractions. UKIYO is another example of the continued investment and evolution of the neighborhood's hospitality scene.

Final Thoughts

With premium Japanese seafood, conveyor-belt dining, live culinary theater, late-night service, and an immersive indoor-outdoor design, UKIYO Miami Beach is shaping up to be one of the more anticipated restaurant openings in Miami Beach this fall.

Whether you are a sushi enthusiast, a Miami foodie, or simply looking for the next exciting place to experience in Miami Beach, UKIYO should be one to watch when it opens on Lincoln Road in October 2026.
